Steps to developing a plan:
Step 1: Get family involved: Mom, Dad, Brother, and me!
Step 2: Get Prepared:
-Emergency phone #s / meeting place
-First Aid Kit
-Necessities for emergency
Step 3: Update and meet regularly for:
-Number/Info updates
-Practicing evacuation plan
-Check alarms and other appliances
-Learn how to shut off home utilities if needed
Step 4: Be Ready At All Times!!!

- Get under a desk or doorway till the shaking stops.
- Then immediately exit the house from the nearest exit.
- Meet up at set location and listen for further news report.
- If ordered to evacuate, grab emergency supply and leave right away.

- Hand or battery operated radio
- First Aid Kit
- Water
- Non perishable food (enough for 3-5 days)
- Flashlights
- Blankets / clothing needed for 3-5 days)
- Copies of medical/identification records
- Cell Phones
- Car with ¾ full of gas
